The First SBMU Telemedicine Consultation Performed
The first SBMU neurology telemedicine consultation by the SBMU Telemedicine Research Center was performed with the Neurology Department of the SBMU Shohada-E-Tjarish Hospital.
This telemedicine consultation was conducted by Professor Hossein Delavar Kasmaei, the SBMU neurologist of the Neurology Department of SBMU Shohada-E-Tajrish Hospital about a neurology patient hospitalized in the ICU Ward of the SBMU Massih Daneshvari Educational Hospital.
The telemedicine consultation was performed in line with the second phase of rendering MAPAD Project, and necessary medical orders were prescribed in order to treat the patient.
The second phase of the MAPAD Project will try to render telemedicine health care services in five of the SBMU affiliated educational hospitals (Shohada-E-tajrish, Taleghani, Loghman Hakim, Imam Hossein, and Mahdiyeh).
It is worthy of mentioning that the above consultation was performed with the collaboration of the SBMU IT Section, Shohada-E-Tajrish, and Massih Daneshvari Educational Hospitals, and has now the potential to render its online services to all medical centers for treating the inpatients.
